Please join us for the upcoming NO KINGS national protest happening June 14 at a community near you!

The next and perhaps biggest protest event is next month, June 14. It spans the country and includes hundreds of organizations.

June 14 is significant in many ways. For one thing, it is Flag day, where the appreciation for the flag has long been observed.

This year, June 14 also is the 250th birthday of the military, originally  formed to stand up to the authoritarian tendency of kings (ironically).

June 14 also happens to be Donald Trump's 79th birthday. As we have seen, Trump never misses an opportunity to steal the spotlight, and this time is no different. He plans to redirect these two national observances and turn them into a made-for-tv display of dominance and celebration of himself. 

So importantly, June 14 will become a national day of defiance, where hundreds of people and organizations will attend events across the nation to reaffirm that American is not about kings, nor wanna-be authoritarians.

The Colorado Forward party (CO FWD) plans to participate in this nationwide 'day of defiance', and has posted a list of statewide events where you can also RSVP.

Several days after the protest (on June 23), we plan to host a virtual event open to anyone interested (RSVP for this virtual event).
