Learn about the national Forward Party's guiding principles, which are the foundation with which the state parties have built their platforms.

Forward is approaching the idea of a “platform” differently than other political parties. Instead of pushing a top-down ideology, we are adopting a bottom-up approach. We want to be known as the party that works to solve the problems people are experiencing locally in their communities. Our platform will reflect the following principles:

Grace and Tolerance

Forward believes in approaching one another with grace and tolerance, finding ways to pick people back up rather than knock them down.

All Are Welcome - Left, Right, Or Center

Forward is creating a political home for everyone willing to work together in good faith to find practical ways to make this country better.

Work Together, Not Against

The Forward Party will strive for collaborative solutions, make sure they work, and try something else if they don’t.

More Listening, Less Talking

The Forward Party will ask you what we can do for the community. We will not ask what the community can do for us.

Diverse Thinking Isn't Just Welcome, It's Required
