Bob Chew - meet your Forward candidate for U.S. Senate
Today is a milestone for our movement. Bob Chew — Navy submarine veteran, engineer, businessman, and one of the five candidates we nominated at our party assembly — has officially launched his campaign for the United States Senate as an Independent on the Forward Party line.
This is exactly why the Colorado Forward Party exists. For too long, Coloradans who feel abandoned by both legacy parties have been told to pick a side, hold their nose, and accept whatever the duopoly serves up. Bob is offering something different: a serious, grounded, plain-spoken candidate who is bought by no one and working for you.
We'll let Bob take it from here, in his own words.

Today, I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate in Colorado as an Independent candidate on the Forward Party line.
I've hiked through mountain ranges across this great country, but this may be the craziest thing I've ever done. I'm the furthest thing from a career politician. So why am I doing this? Because I am sick and tired of watching the same old politicians go to Washington and do the same exact thing — NOTHING.
We have real problems in this country — massive debt, rising prices, Social Security going bankrupt, a broken education system, sinking national morale…. You get the picture.
Instead of working together to tackle these problems, Congress is a circus, filled with theatrical performances, temper tantrums, and stale soundbites. Most Republicans and Democrats only care about scoring points for their respective teams — not the American people.

I've lived an incredible life. As a naval officer on a nuclear submarine, I learned the meaning of service and hard work. As a businessman and job creator, I've learned how the real world works. As an avid outdoorsman, I firmly believe that we have a duty to protect this great country. As a father, we have a responsibility to fix the problems my generation created.

Why this race matters for Forward
Colorado is where the case for a real third option gets made. The duopoly has given us seesaw politics, record-low congressional productivity, and a Washington optimized for the parties' self-preservation rather than the public good. Bob's campaign is one of the strongest tests yet of whether voters who are sick of that pattern are ready to do something about it — at the ballot box, on the phone, on their front lawns.
