What's next? ... after every election comes a beginning

This election cycle exposed a number of weaknesses in our election system, such as gerrymandering.

CO FWD strives for the election to work for the individual voter.

We concentrate on three CO FWD election improvement initiatives that ensure that elections work for the voters, not the parties.

Independent Redistricting Commissions (ensures that voters choose their politicians, rather than politicians choosing their voters)
Rank Choice Voting (ensures that candidates must at least meet a 50% threshold to win an election)
Non-partisan primaries (ensures that anyone can vote in any primary, removing the extreme partisanship that plagues our system)

Continue on this effort to strengthen our government.

CO FWD, the Colorado chapter of the national Forward Party will soon be holding elections for its Executive Committee!

AFFILIATE with FORWARD!

One powerful and inexpensive way to exercise your political voice is to affiliate with the Forward Party. The Colorado Forward Party became a minor political party in Colorado last year. Now voters can affiliate directly with Forward (just like Democrat, Republican, or Independent). Affiliating is one way for us to grow our presence in Colorado and nationally.

Colorado Supreme Court Rules that

Mid-decade Redistricting Violates the CO Constitution

The Colorado Supreme Court has ruled that mid-decade redistricting – which is plaguing other states like Texas and California – violates the Colorado Constitution. Partisan redistricting is runs against the CO FWD platform because it weakens our votes; the ruling is a victory for Colorado voters.
