Bob Marshall endorsement

Bob Marshall is the Democratic incumbent running for the Colorado House of Representatives District 43 seat in Highlands Ranch.

Born and raised in Colorado, Bob attended Georgetown University, then served six years in the Marine Corps, leaving active duty in 2003. The Marines sent him to Cornell Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude with a J.D. and an LL.M. in international law. In 2005, he was mobilized to Iraq and then Afghanistan. After his service, he earned an LL.M. in Tax Law and became a litigator with the IRS's Large Business and International Litigation Division, handling cases involving billions of dollars.

Bob was a Republican for more than 30 years. He left the GOP in 2017 over its direction, became unaffiliated, and joined the Democratic Party in 2021. In 2022, he became the first Democrat elected to a partisan office from Douglas County in more than 50 years.

Bob built his reputation by holding the local government accountable for unethical and illegal conduct, and he has carried that into the legislature, even when it meant challenging his own party. He has sponsored electoral reform bills and sued the legislature and the leadership of both parties over long-standing Sunshine Law violations.

The Colorado Forward Party is delighted to endorse Bob Marshall as a candidate with the integrity, honesty, and willingness to work with others (even from different parties) to best represent their constituency.
