Detra Duncan is a Democratic candidate for El Paso County Commissioner in District 4.
Detra is a current Fountain City councilmember at large, the first African American woman seated on the council. She is a proud wife of an Army Veteran and mother who loves the community in which she lives. She is a Democratic precinct organizer.
Dr. Detra Duncan earned a doctoral degree in organizational management/leadership, which exposed her to a variety of disciplines in the social sciences, medical sciences, education, and the humanities.
If elected, she will work to make El Paso County more affordable, increase its protection against wildfires, and increase public safety.
