Senator Scott Bright
Colorado SD13 (2025-2029)
Scott Bright (R) was elected to the Colorado State Senate (SD13) in November 2024 (term 2025-2029).
District 13 is based around Greeley and Brighton, also covering the other Weld and Adams County communities of Evans, LaSalle, Milliken, Gilcrest, Platteville, and Fort Lupton, and Henderson. The district is located entirely in Coloardo's 84th congressional district, and overlaps with the 48th, 50th, and 63rd districts of the Colorado House of Representatives.
Scott is a conservative civic and business leader who has been devoted to the communities of Senate District 13 his entire life. He graduated from Pacific Union College with a Degree in Business Management and Accounting and a Minor in Religion. He has focused his adult life on promoting better education and childhood development, policy areas that he hopes to focus on in the Legislature.
He has worked in his family’s early childhood education business since 1990 and is the 3rd generation owner. With 25 licensed child-care and preschool facilities and 250 incredible employees, his company provides services to over 2,000 families in Weld County.
Scott's community engagement includes service on the boards of Early Childhood Education Association of Colorado, Colorado Early Education Network, Colorado Preschool Policy Leadership Committee, CDEC Rules Advisory Council, the Weld Trust Education Grant Review Team, Greeley Downtown Rotary, and Colorado Trails Preservation Alliance.
Scott looks forward to looking beyond partisanship. As a member of the minority party, working across the aisle is a must if he is going to be successful. He likes the Forward Party's focus on post-partisanship, listening to the voters, and getting things done.
