The Colorado Forward Party Recognizes Bob Marshall (HD43) as a Champion of Good Governance.
Rep. Marshall represents House District 43, which includes most of Highlands Ranch. He has proposed bills that improve representation at both the state and county levels. One example includes House Bill HB26-1203, which reforms the election process for County Commissioners in large counties. He previously introduced a bill to change how vacancies are filled, ensuring voters have a fair opportunity to choose their representative and incumbent.
Marshall has proposed other bills intended to improve representation at both the state and county levels. While holding office as a Democrat, Marshall is an affiliate of the Colorado Forward Party (CO FWD), which is the Colorado branch of the national Forward Party. CO FWD is a minor political party in Colorado.
Forward Co-Founder and former Republican Governor of New Jersey Christine Todd-Whitman has characterized Rep. Marshall as “an effective legislator who’s reached across the aisle” and someone who “has consistently put his constituents’ needs first.”
CO FWD spokesperson Wendy Petry said, “Our movement is built on the belief that government should work for everyone.”
“Good governance means listening to constituents and solving problems collaboratively. Representative Marshall consistently models these values,” said Petry.
The Good Governance award was presented to Rep. Marshall at the CO FWD state assembly, held on April 11.
