Robyn Carnes Endorsement

Robyn Carnes headshot from her candidate websiteRobyn Carnes is a Republican candidate for the state senate seat in Senate District 16 in Centennial/Southglenn/Littleton/Columbine Valley/Ken Caryl.

Robyn has a passion for community service and helping others, which led her to run for Centennial City Council. Working in a non-partisan environment, Robyn sought collaboration with community and her colleagues to be responsive to her resident's needs. She is now running for a state senate seat in hopes of continuing her legacy of service to Coloradans in a greater capacity.

Originally from Iowa where she learned a strong work ethic and the importance of humility, Robyn found her way to Colorado to build her life. Robyn has lived in Centennial for 20+ years with her husband, who serves in law enforcement, and two sons, who attend Littleton Public Schools. Her life outside of her professional commitments is just as full and enriching. Nothing beats a robust cup of coffee to kick start her mornings followed by a run with her faithful 79-pound companion and rescue from Dumb Friends League, Samson. She is her boys' biggest cheerleader at their sporting events. Robyn's life is a testament to balance, joy, and resilience, a constant source of inspiration.

As a mom, a law enforcement wife, a former VP of a national organization that fights trafficking, and a current Centennial City Councilwoman - a non-partisan seat, Robyn's learned the importance of balanced government. It's why Robyn's running purple: when red (representing Republicans) blends with blue (representing Democrats), purple emerges. Purple is a color of champions, and Robyn wants to be a champion for her constituents in SD16. Purple is about leaning in and focusing on people, principles and policies vs. party affiliation. Purple represents balance, yet no balance exists under the golden dome in Colorado.

Single party control has made Colorado unaffordable, has deteriorated our business climate, and has sent our kids to other states to raise their families. This isn't the state we want or the one we deserve. No one ever said we need blind loyalty to the political parties. What SD16 voters want is fierce independence and a commitment to making government work for the people. Robyn's ready to bring that work ethic to the statehouse and make government work for the people, being loyal to the people vs. party affiliation, a major reason why the Forward Party is a great fit.

The Colorado Forward Party is delighted to endorse Robyn Carnes as a candidate with the integrity, honesty, and willingness to work with others (even from different parties) to best represent their constituency.
