The Colorado Forward Party Committee is holding crucial elections on September 28th for five new At-large members of the Executive Committee with a two-year commitment to the committee work. Your participation in this election, as an active member (voter registration as Forward and having signed the Colorado Forward Pledge), is vital to our party's future.
Our current CFPC members, elected a year ago, have played a pivotal role in our journey to be recognized as a minor party in Colorado. Their efforts culminated in our milestone achievement on January 25th, 2024. Now, as we set our sights on expanding our membership, supporting and building our candidate pipeline, and endorsing candidates who align with Colorado Forward principles, we are introducing staggered elections to ensure continuity and momentum. Four of our current members will continue their service for one more year, and their positions will be open for election with a two-year term in 2025. After the September 28th At-large elections, the nine Executive team members will choose officers (Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary). We are an active Executive Team, and all members are expected to participate in the party's work.
The Sept 28th election will use Ranked-Choice Voting. The five candidates with the most votes will be elected as "At Large" members with a two-year term of office. At Large members may choose to run for office again. All candidates and all members are encouraged to participate in essential committee work focused on a) building our Candidate Pipeline, b) Building Active Membership, c) Fundraising to support events and candidates, d) Omni Channel Communications, and e) a Modern CRM Infrastructure.
- To be considered, candidates must submit a photo headshot by Monday, August 26th to Colorado Forward Party EC Candidate Nomination Form

- Prior to the voting, Candidates will be expected to present to a virtual audience on September 28th for 2-3 minutes introducing themselves and why they would like to be part of the Colorado Forward leadership team.
